Statement of Faith
The Scriptures: "We believe the Bible was written by men who were Divinely inspired - the Word of God being "breathed out" for men to record and preserve. The Holy Spirit is it’s author; salvation and edification it’s purpose; and it is without error. He Who inspired the Word has preserved it’s accuracy. We believe the Bible to be the only infallible, authoritative Word of God. We believe that it is eternally true and may be applied to every aspect of our lives today, even in this modern time because God does not change."
The Holy Trinity: We believe there is one eternal, almighty and perfect God: Father, Son and Holy Spirit - three distinct persons in complete and perfect unity.
God the Father: "We believe in the One true God to Whom is owed the highest love and reverence."
Jesus: "We believe Jesus Christ is God, begotten of the Holy Spirit in the womb of the virgin Mary, and a member of the human family. He is 100% man in body and 100% God in spirit. We believe in His sinless life, in His miracles, in His vicarious and atoning death through His shed blood, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father and in His personal return in power and glory."
The Holy Spirit: "We believe in the personality and Deity of the Holy Spirit Who illuminates the Word for our understanding of truth and guides the believer in daily conduct."
The Resurrection: "We believe in the resurrection of the crucified body of Jesus, and that He was raised with a literal body of flesh and bone. We also believe in the bodily resurrection of the saints at the soon return of our Lord."
Salvation: "We believe salvation is by grace through faith, accomplished by the finished work of Jesus at Calvary. We believe that for the salvation of lost and sinful man, regeneration by the Holy Spirit is essential. "
Church: "We believe the church is a body of born again believers who observe Jesus as Head, who associate by covenant in faith, and fellowship in Gospel ministry to the community and the world. We believe in the spiritual unity of believers in our Lord Jesus Christ."
Separation and Sanctification: "We believe all believers are called into a life of separation from the world to set forth holiness of character and purpose. We are taught in the scriptures to live in this world, but not be part of it. We believe that all believers who are new creations in Christ begin a life-long process of sanctification, which is becoming more and more like Christ and drawing closer and closer to God. Sactification is done by man with the help of the Holy Spirit. Man must make the effort to study, pray, and grow in understanding, but he must seek the Holy Spirit's assistance in order to succeed. Nothing that we accomplish is by our own strength, it is all enabled by God through His Holy Spirit."
Second Advent: "We believe Jesus is coming back literally, bodily, and personally. We believe in the resurrection of both the saved and the lost; they that are saved unto the resurrection of eternal life and they that are lost unto the resurrection of eternal condemnation. "
Satan: We believe in the reality of satan and the demonic kingdom who attempts to lead people away from God, pervert His Word, and incite division among the saints."
